Syrinscape through Mumble? - FIXED

Using david’s instructions I was able to get this working well with Skype due to no push to talk so the sounds were constant.

However I really need it for Mumble, but Mumble has push to talk so the sounds will only play while I was talking. I’ve tried getting two copies of Mumble working but there’s so much interference with certificates and settings that I was stumped.

Has anyone got a working setup for one PTT mumble client and one always on mumble client on one PC?

There are lots of people who would love to know this too!! Anybody?

Did you try Syrinscape on a separate device?

From this page:

You can run the client with -m and -n parameters to be able to open 2 instances and connect to the same server, then you have to configure the sound on your Syrinscape instance to transmit continuously. I’m using a similar setup using Teamspeak.

If you are on eastern time I might be able to get online and try to help you if you want.

Way cool!

Thanks advalencia!!!

Thanks for the advice advalencia. I’d tried that originally but as both clients share the same config I wasn’t able to use Push To Talk for me and leave it open for the music client nor use the mic for me and virtual cable for the music.

I think I’ll try Ben’s idea and just run the music from my other PC. It’s in the other room, but I should be able to RDP into it! Syrinscape is just too good not to use.
