Sub-Categories below Fantasy/Sci-Fi

Would love to see Sub-Categories for all the sounds. Separation of just fantasy and sci-fi is a good start, but it would be more beneficial to see: City Sounds, Forest, Beach, Battle, etc.

Some of the sound packs just have an overall description of “sd”. This makes no sense to me as a user. My only tip off as to what it is, is the picture. Obviously, I can click on it and listen to the youtube video, but going through 50 youtube videos is a hindrance to my time. A short description and subcategories would really go a long way when trying to create campaigns.

Yes, we are working on our store right now.

We didn’t have a problem when there were only 20 SoundSets or so… but now… phew!

We’re going to make clickable filter buttons, doing just what you suggested.

You’re just slightly too much ahead of us! So thanks for the input!

Currently what I’ve done in the campaigns section is grouped my soundsets, rather than by campaign, but by setting. So I can easily click to forest, city, underground, etc. and then each “campaign” will have everything for a forest or city etc. Does that make sense? It works for me until something else comes along

I have categorized my fantasy stuff by Location, Monsters and Fights (to include things like both the Bugbear Battle and the Tavern Brawl), and NPCs (Victor, Creepy Shopkeeper, Pathfinder Iconic characters, etc). That gives me a pretty comprehensive spread, while still keeping my lists more reasonable if I have to rapidly switch between them.

When I get some time, I’ll be organizing my Sci-Fi player the same way.

@seanbaxen & @HECook These sound like great ideas. It would be awesome if you were both willing to share your campaigns so others can use your lists. If your willing to do it then you just need to paste the link here on the forum that you get in the campaign manager. anyone that clicks the link will then have the campaign added to their lists

A lot of mine are made up of self created soundsets from the creator mixed with syrinscape soundsets so I don’t think sharing would help that much as most of them cant be used for copyright issue. But I do encourage people to use the campaigns tab as categories as it works really well for me…especially when the players take a bizarre turn and end up in a sewer rather than the mountain peaks I had planned for.
To give an idea of the category “campaigns” I use, the list is:
Battle, Forest, City, Sewer, Castle, Dungeon, Mountains, Temple, Spooky, Swamp, Ocean, Jungle, Desert, NPCs

Hope that helps
