Unity WebGL - Web player a distant possibility?

I’ve seen requests for a pure web player (no installation required) here, but don’t think I’ve seen a direct comment about the roadmap for this.

As far as I can tell, poking at things, you’re using Unity under the hood? I understand that the WebGL target of Unity3d is … limited compared to other platforms, but given that you’re only using a limited area of the API: Do you think this might be a viable target after high priority ones (desktop operating systems, mobile platforms)?

In case I’m wrong about Unity3d or in case the WebGL target doesn’t work for you, would WebRTC¹ potentially in combination with Encrypted Media Extensions API² be something worth investigating?

This is yes, definitely a possibility.

And yes, possibly distant!

I’ll put this on our list to have a look at the plausibility when we get to it.

THANKS for posting suggestions and ideas on the forums! Definitely keep it up!!! :beers:
