Syrinscape online player... Syrinscape Web player

Hi

I have a Syrinscape Online Player and would like to swop it with the Syrinscape Web Player… How do I do that exactly ?

( I have a supersyrin subscription already and will be using it with Fantasy grounds unity. )

Any advice is much appreciated.

Sorry about the slow response… we have been UKGEing!

It is easy to switch and swap between the Online and Web Players.

The Web Player UI looks almost identical to the Online Player UI. It lives at app.syrinscape.com

Differences:

  1. your sound comes straight out of the Web Player browser TAB
  2. share the SHARE AUDIO link with your players and sound comes straight out of a browser TAB for your players too = they don’t need an account or log in
  3. the Web Player doesn’t run as reliably on LOW power machine or on machines where LOTS and LOTS of stuff is running = so it you experience performance issues (slow response or sound crackling) then go back to the Online Player.

Thank you for the advice… I finally decided on staying with the Online Player because it is more reliable.

So if I send my players this link they can just click it and hear my sounds ? app.syrinscape.com

They wont need to log in… or anything ?

If next week I cant fix our online player issues of players not hearing anything…I will try this…
Otherwise I am paying for something I can not use.

Hi,

The best link to share is the Share Audio link you can copy under that hamburger menu at the top right. That has the word “player” in it to ensure that they don’t steal control of the session. And, yes, you players then don’t need an account or anything at all (just a browser that works).

Let us know how you get on… and yes, definitely don’t pay for something you can’t use… but also, I’m sure we can help you sort out the best way of getting Syrinscape’s lovely sound going. :slight_smile:
