Suggestions for a wireless speaker to use

I normally play in a friends basement with no sound system. As such I need to bring a wireless speaker to connect my iPad to, to allow everyone to hear the soundscapes that are playing.
I’ve tried an old Bose Soundlink speaker that my wife has and the volume was very low… It might be useable but it isn’t great.
As such I may be in the market for a new speaker soon.

So my question is:
Does anyone have a suggestion for a portable wireless speaker they think works well with Syrinscape?

I use the predecessor of this speaker, and I’m very satisfied.

I use this and I love it:

I actually use a Bose speaker myself and it works well apart from sometimes having connection problems. Friends use the House of Marley speaker and they say it’s really good.

Yep. Bluetooth connectivity is always a little bizarre. I often have to turn my Bluetooth on and off randomly just to get my phone to connect to my car. D

With the current Bose speaker I normally use a wired connection as the first generation Soundlink has issues trying to switch between devices.
Given its used by wife’s phone 95% of the time it didn’t seem worth it to mess with the Bluetooth.

Any chance the wired connection is worse the Bluetooth? I thought it was supposed to sound better over the headphone jack…

I’ll try a jack on our soundlink mini and see how the volume sounds. Bluetooth wise it sounds like you have the same problem as me, my partner uses their phone with the speaker A lot so I have to pretty much re-pair my laptop to it every gaming session! Jack cable might be my best solution :frowning:

Wired sound will always be better than Bluetooth. So if you don’t need the distance or the flexibility… just plug in!

I have this speaker from Costco so if it ever breaks i can just take it back to them for a new one.
