Straw poll. Do you use a Virtual Tabletop? If so, which one?
Thanks in advance!
~Ben
I use Fantasy Grounds with the Audio Overseer extension.
I use AboveVTT extension with the base DnDB data + some imports. And for music, I just use any copyright free stuff I can find. Genuinely easy way to save some money while still making decent content (as one of my campaigns is aired on twitch.)
Foundry VTT for our group.
Currently Roll20, but as soon as the current campaign is over our group is switching to Fantasy Grounds.
Self hosted Foundry VTT
Foundry VTT via The Forge
Fantasy Grounds for me.
Foundry VTT, both AWS hosted and self-hosted.
Roll20 pro
I guess that’s not enough characters…
I use Fantasy Grounds in Mac. Unfortunately I cannot use Oversee as it is not compatible with Mac. It’s sad, because I tried Oversteer in Windows and you can program sounds for attacks, spells, etc
I use Syrinscape Desktop, so I had to buy an app called Loopback ($120) in order my players can hear the music and I can record the session at the same time via OBS.
I really don’t like the Online Player. I often get lost, the interface is not for me.
Foundry VTT online server hosted.
Using Syrincontrol mod!
#1 - Fantasy Grounds Unity
Others on occasion or interested in:
#2 - RoleVTT (great for camera/player focus)
#3 - AlchemyRPG (different but more visual/thematic)
Owlbear Rodeo. Love how it runs reliably for my players with potato computers!
Roll20 here
I do not use a virtual tabletop. Physical minis in person; theater of the mind online.
I do use D&D Beyond regularly, though.
I use Foundry VTT when we play
FoundryVTT if I’m GMing (and even I wasn’t, I’d encourage it)
Foundry, both online and as IRL VTT with horizontal TV.
I use Foundry and have 8 different “Worlds” running. So some form of integration would be amazing.
