Soundset Creator won't close/open - FIXED

I was following the troubleshooting steps for soundsets that won’t upload. Upon exiting the creator by right-clicking its indicator on the taskbar, I tried to delete the export zip, and it told me the creator was still open. It appears as though a background process for the creator is staying open even when I exit via taskbar. This happened once before, so I restarted my computer.
Both times, I was able to go back and modify/delete the file in question as the process wasn’t open anymore. I was hoping to try a second upload, but unfortunately for me, now the creator won’t start at all. It gives me a “Fatal Error! Failed to execute script manage” dialogue box.
I was about to uninstall and reinstall the creator, but I’ve spent all day on a new soundset and don’t want to lose it! I’m not sure if that will delete my work or not.
I’m on Windows 10, Chrome browser, and my soundset is called, “A Circle of Light - The Train” or, " - On the Train" or something similar. To my shame, I can’t remember.

Iirc that error message points to server troubles (probably caused by maintenance) and not to a problem on your computer. You should give it a few hours, if it isn’t working later, you should contact @Benjamin to have a look.
About the restart thingie: there are two options, that can be chosen from the icon - shutdown and quit. You will have to take the latter, give Windows some time to kill the task properly and then start the Creator again.
If you could try that (once it’s running again) and tell, if it worked?

@new_vision @ladycallistadaring Definitely no server problems or maintainence at the moment. In fact… only log in will be effected by the server and that would effect ALL Players… and that REALLYL creates a storm if it happens = me getting hundreds of e-mails.

“Fatal Error! Failed to execute script manage”
This means you have aborken sample in your database = you imported something that is not an audio file, or is in the wrong codec or something like that.

Here’s a YouTube video showing the fix for this prob:

Let us know, if that sorts you out!

I’m not clever enough to figure out how to run sqlite, so I can’t open the database. Is there a different program I can use?

I tried looking for the only file that didn’t have “transcoded” attached and deleted it (it was an uploaded sample of mine), but that didn’t work.

My menu that pops up doesn’t have an exit command, ever. It looks like this:

I have also gotten a new error today, twice
“fatal error in gc. get thread content failed”

Doh, I have confused the two error messages. :frowning:

Whoohoo! I found http://sqlitebrowser.org/ and that worked. I deleted the nasty samples, and opened everything up. My soundset did upload, but some of my last changes weren’t there? @benjamin, can you delete “A Circle of Light - Train Travel” from the soundsets so that I can finish modifying those last few things and upload it the way it’s supposed to be?
Thanks! So excited to get back to work.

You normally can delete your own soundsets in the campaign manager. Just log into Syrinscape web site, go to my campaign and scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page. If everything works the way it should you will see your uploads there and you can delete them by pushing the minus icon.

Sweet action. Thanks for pointing that out. Sorry I missed it. There’s a lot to keep track of.

That’s why we’re here. Once you get used to everything, it’s fairly easy to handle the creator.
