Searchable "Tag"s for Soundset's

It would be super cool if us users and your staff could add Tag’s to the sound sets to make finding “just the right sound” easier. I think the search feature now just searches by titles of tracks, which usually will help you, but there are times I really have to hunt down the sounds I want.

Using multiple tags in a search would help us narrow down the field of options even more. For example searching Vikings+Space+battle+dragon or Elvish+holy+Temple+ruins might direct us to a few sound sets that we can combine to make new moods. Would also be cool to see what other users have found for moods in their games.

Just my 2 cent idea for now. :+1:t2:

Unfortunately, we can only add tags to samples. In regards to soundsets, we have to name them after the chapters or events that happen in an adventure. This makes it an A,B,C for the DM running the story.

Have you tried the Nova version?

This has everything labelled for you, so you just click the things you want. Like a Burger King menu (just been to a BK, first time in an age, all digital now!). No need for tags

Totally. This on is something on our list of things we are keen to add. It’s not clear when it’ll come to the top of this list, but I will be happy when it does, because that will mean that an amazing bunch of other stuff that is ahead of it will be done already!

As Barry implied, our content creators have been adding rich tags to sample names for quite a while, with a view to us ripping them out and making them formal tags… then we need a good rich dictionary of associations (i.e. tavern --> bar, inn, beer, drinking spot etc) AND more tags describing each Element and Mood in a SoundSet and we should THEN be able to get quite a lot more out of search.

As Barry also mentioned… yeah, check out Nova… which has a more refined library, with less wide spread and duplication and hooopefully might help us along the path to making things easier to find.

Mainly… can I have infite dev capacity so we can build all the cool things first! :sob:

That’s exactly what I’m hoping for, Tag’s on the samples is torally the best option. I’ll look forward to this with you! :muscle:t2:
