So I’ve turned on Remote Control Links and that works well enough when the sound is associated with a Soundset, but I have found numerous sound effects through “Search” that do not seemed to be linked to any specific soundset. How do I get the links to these?

That said, I can help now.
Sooo… that “good thunder” is actually a SAMPLE, not an element. The visual clue is that it is simply a Play/Stop button rather than a graphic coin. (it also says “Type Samples”.
So samples can be added to elements… and elements can be triggered with the API.
A sample can not be trigger by itself, because it needs the element to tell it: the position, distance, reverb settings and volume.
If you’d LIKE to be able to trigger this sample with the API (remote control links), then simply:

make a brand new element
-
add this sample to that Element’s playlist
-
adjust the parameters of the element till the sample sounds as you like

trigger the element in the normal way
Let me know if that all makes sense AND don’t hesitate to ask for a better explanation or even a video… it’s a thing i can do!
