Question about Soundset Creator & Bought content - FIXED

Hi there,

I love SS and have bought quite a few soundsets but I recently tried experimenting with making my own soundsets.

Unfortunately, I seem to have the cache Unity bug where my custom soundsets are disappearing… Is there any way to solve this?

I know I could also get a subscription but I bought most of the soundsets I am interested in already so I’d basically be paying the subscription fee just to get access to the Creator… I bought the sets because I’d prefer to not get a subscription…

Is there anything you’d recommend? Is there a way around the Unity bug? Will it be fixed at some point? Or can I somehow make use of the creator without getting a subscription?

As @Steve wrote in the other thread, it’s not as much a bug in Unity as a flaw in registry management. Do you have virus solutions installed that may block Syrinscape to alter the registry? If so, have you tried turning it off while creating custom moods? I guess you are refering to custom moods as you can’t customise soundsets without the Creator.

Speaking of which: afaik there is no other way to get access to the Creator other than subscribing. All content is stored on Syrinscape servers to ensure flawless synch for all devices you have.

I know it’s not of my business, but have you compared how much you paid for the purchases compared to having subscribed? Remember: as long as you have a subscription, every new soundset being released during that time is yours to keep, even if you decide to cancel the subscription at one point. You get a decent bang for your buck when deciding to subscribe imho, plus access to the Creator, Community Content and every soundset published - that helps a lot when wanting to create your own sets! :wink:

I am aware of the advantages of the sub but I still would rather buy then sub. Hopefully I will find a way to solve the Unity issue. I will take a look at virus solutions (only have the standard Windows stuff installed atm but this might just be what is causing it).

If that doesn’t work, I will sub for a month to see what I am missing. :slight_smile:
