Moving soundsets to another drive _Resolved

Not sure if I asked anytime before, but…

I am running really low on space on my C: drive and I see lots of space is used by Syrinscape (10G+). I would like to move it to another drive to save some space - also I do not want to kill my SSD with so many small files read-write ops.

How can I achieve that?

Syrinscape stores your content on your cache drive so isnt designed for soundsets to be stored elsewhere. With that said it is possible and we have a guide in the ProTips forum that explains how to do it, heres a direct link

Be aware though that you should only do this if you are confident with cmd line and medium level system hacking

Thanks for the link  As a skilled hacker I think I will manage, although experienced in *nix systems

OK, so basically I am to create link of the dir to another drive and this will work. Fine thank you

I did it and it works really well.

I now have done the same hack to move my Doc and Download folders onto another drive too.
