Making WAV music files smaller?

Sorry if this is a dumb question. I’ve got Audacity and can successfully use it to convert mp3’s into 16-bit 44.1 kHz stereo .wav files stripped of all meta-data, but the files are big given the 100 mb limit for a finished Soundset. I’d like to make the files smaller – is there a way to do this while retaining the file type and the particular parameters needed by Syrinscape? Most of the online tutorials I can find just talk about converting .wav files into compressed formats like mp3.

Syrinscape automatically compresses audio that is uploaded so that 100mb will actually go quite far. Our soundsets usually average 70-80mb, so that should give you a good guide as to how much you can fit into a single soundset

Oh good! I was worried that my 32 mb music wav file would eat up a third of my soundset allotment
