KNOWN ISSUES: Which important things are currently missing, but coming soon?

Which important things are currently missing, but coming soon?

  • Custom personal soundboards: At the moment we’ve created just a few example Soundboards filled with content useful for a number of different kinds of TTRPG sessions. Of course, soon you’ll be able to create your own soundboards, choosing from Syrinscape’s epic library of music playlists, locations, creature sounds, and effects. This is Syrinscape, after all!
  • Saving scenes: Once you’ve set everything playing and balanced it perfectly, you’ll be able to hit SAVE SCENE, meaning you can return to your perfect mix whenever you need.
  • Remote play volumes: At the moment your players can listen in on your soundtrack already, but we haven’t wired up the group volumes to work for remote play yet (music volume vs location volume etc). So, if you run a remote game with Nova, leave those group sliders at 100% and your players will be hearing the same things as you.
  • Can’t choose which effect: You should be able to select which rain, or which type of wind you want. That’s broken right now, but we already know what’s wrong with the code there! Give us a few days!
  • Adding much more content: More Fantasy is on the way! But also… Sci-fi, Cthulhu, and Modern content too.

What other things are planned, but are a little further away?

  • OneShot triggers: OneShots are a big thing for Syrinscape users. Nothing quite beats triggering a Wilhelm Scream when the evil wizard is yeeted off the cliff, or a sad trombone when a player rolls that natural 1. OneShots will be a big part of Nova as well.
  • Personal content and official licenced content: Your own personal SoundSets and our official licenced content are coming to Syrinscape Nova, soon. We are currently workshopping the best way to present these to keep everything you need close to hand with no unnecessary clutter.
