I’m able to log in on the fantasy player, and I have a subscription, but every time I try to download a soundset, it “fails to fetch manifest.” What does this mean and how can I stop it from hapening?

A) What device are you on?
B) Can you install stuff on a different device (with the same sign in)?
C) Have you been able to install stuff on this device before?
Here’s the things to check in the order to check them:
- Firewall controlling Application’s access to the internet? = give permission to Syrinscape;
- Over zealous virus program? = Tell it that Syrinscape is safe;
- Are you accessing the internet through a proxy? = that can sometimes confuse (make sure you’ve signed in or ask your network admin for help);
- Check your system is not infected by the “GorillaPrice” Adware Virus (or anything else that inserts content into internet content you access) = you might see ads inserted into pages you browse. This happens to some people sometimes, and it very much breaks Syrinscape.
- Does your windows Log In name have any special characters in it? If so try installing under a user with just normal ASCII characters and see if that works. Unity doesn’t cope well with fancy European names!

I just installed syrinscape too and have the exact same problem. “Unable to fetch manifest for bugbear battle” etc… Can’t download a single sound.
I’m getting the same error and had previously installed many soundsets successfully. Am attempting to install new sound sets from the past month (including Ninja) and am getting this error.
I also no longer see the option under Settings to check for sound set updates. (I don’t recall what that was called or how it worked, but I know there was a button under Settings I could click to have the system check for new sound sets to install.)
The server seems to be fine BUT I’ve just had a few requests all come through at the same time with the same problem. It could just be a blip, everyone trying to download the new ‘Ninja’ set BUT we are looking into it
I am having the same problem I just Upped to a Super Subscription and now nothing will download and the creator i installed will not see any sounds even the ones i already have in the player. I thought i did something wrong on my end. appears i did not everything was checked router and firewall etc
I’m having the same issue as indicated above. I’m a Super Syrin subscriber. I’m able to play all my other sound sets but when I go to download the Ninja sound set, I get to the point where it states: “Download Ninja for Free! This SoundSet is ready to download and install” I click on “Install this SoundSet (1.6MB)” and I get a message “fetching manifest for ninja” and then it bombs out indicating “failed to retrieve manifest for ninja…”. I’ve been fine up until now with everything installing.
Very strange. I am a SuperSyrin sub as well and installed Ninja earlier this morning. I then uninstalled it and have since been playing around in Syrinscape getting ready for FG Con, no issues playing sounds so far. I had even closed Syrinscape a few times and still no issues yet.
It seemed to happen at about 10 CDT, so I’m guessing it was when a lot of our American subscribers read about ‘Ninja’ and attempted to download it. I think the server had more download requests that it was used to! Server seems fine as far as I can tell so I’m guessing that’s the cause. @benjamin will be able to check though when he’s around.

Soooooo… at thia stage we think it may have been Sydney Australia’s transition through the end of Daylight Saving that stopped the manifests for this one hour
