Forgive me for not finding this topic addressed before. Most querries seem to be oriented to the mixing of sound sets using Syrinscape sound files, and not the use of homemade sound files.
I have 3GB of WAV format scratch-made sound files that I am currently using in my D&D game, and would want to continue using through the Syrinscape interface.
Are we entirely dependent on the Creator tool (currently in Beta) in order to do this?
I had hoped that I could simply add these files to a local directory that Syrinscape could then draw from, but now understand that my files must be first uploaded elsewhere.
I’ll be quite keen on purchasing the other Syrinscape DLC sounds, but if the additional freedom to use my own sounds is not an easy option, then that would erase half of my perceived value of this product.
Putting it another way; I don’t mind paying for the $10/mo Supersyrin subscription. But I would like to understand whether I would be able to access my soundsets locally. I don’t like the idea of my use of the product being tied to the existence of Syrinscape.com and my access to a remote server. I am preparing to store all of my game sounds on a single dedicated gaming tablet and place it up on the shelf along with my rulebooks and dice. And I need to be able to use those gaming sounds in 2026 just as easily as I would now in 2016.
Please speak to me about that.
