So after making everyone use the new web player last night, so that I could eliminate that ‘out of sync’ warning message, I made some observations:
-
We use D&D Beyond, and players were saying that when rolling dice, the Syrinscape sound would drop out. Maybe that is because the dice roller makes sound as well, and both are web-based apps?
-
We use Skype to voice chat during session, and my players mentioned that Syrinscape sound would drop out at times. One player said “maybe it is when I am talking” but I never circled back around to troubleshoot. I try not to troubleshoot technological issue during game session.
-
I noticed as the DM that the clicking on elements during a session seemed more delayed compared to when I used the installed app client; in other words, I would click something to turn it on, and it would take longer for it to play/stop compared to the app.
We never had the above issues with the installed local app.
I hope this information helps!
