"Failed to Validate" - FIXED

I have just paid subscription for the Fantasy soundsets, set up my campaigns on the website and downloaded the fantasy player for imac. Fantasy player on imac shows my saved soundsets, but not on my iphone and ipad. I specially need it for my ipad since this is what I’m gonna be using for running the game. I could not login on any of my other two devices, it keeps asking me to bless the device back and forth, It took me 4 hours doing this. to make it worse I couldn’t even login to my account it kicks me out saying we failed to validate activated soundsets. This is really frustrating, I need it for game night and I’m afraid if this would log me out like this during the game then this is not worth the money I’m paying for. Can you please sort this out for me. cheers

Hmmm, how many devices are you using? Also: sometimes it happens, that there seems to be a hiccup when it comes to validating accounts, especially regarding new ones. This can be sorted quite easily. You might want to send an email to support@syrinscape.com and someone will take look on your account to fix your problem.
Logging you out during a gaming session is highly unlikely. You see, once your device is blessed and you’re logged in (see above) you technically could go offline and you’re good to go for a month, as an online connection for the players is not further necessary. Once we figure out your initial problem, you should be good to go! :wink:

As Sydney has awoken we are now working actively on this right now, so expect things to be working again within the next few hours.

Once this is resolved I’ll be VERY happy to offer a chunk of a refund to anyone who posts on this thread, to say THANK YOU for your patience and for helping us sort this one out.

NOTE: for most people it is just taking [quite a while] (ie 15 to 45 minutes) for their account to come good (and stay that way)… so shutting down and trying again is a thing to do.

ALSO NOTE: as much info as you can give us the better… how it worked/didn’t work for you and when exactly… You can post here so @tai_admin can see it.

Thanks for the prompt reply, In response to new_vision, I only have three devices for the account: imac, iphone 6S and my Ipad, the ipad 's what I’ll be using for the game,
and I don’t think it’ll be a problem since it says up to three devices could be used, anyway I already uninstalled the player on my iphone, unblessed it, to give way to only the ipad. It worked for 15 minutes, all the greyed out soundsets appeared ready to DL, then after i created custom soundsets, it logged me out saying failed to validate, tried several attempts to login till i gave up.

Hi benjamin, thanks for the reply, I’m in the office now, I DLd it again on the iphone to see wether the issue was fixed, logging in now… signed in successfully but the soundsets are still greyed out cept for the free ones… reloading… reloaded still greyed out, closed and reopened the app now, failed to validate error twice… logged in… greyed out still… pressed reload… kicked out (failed to validate error)… relogged in… not it says device not blessed, blessing now… it says I’ve reached limit showing only my 3 devices, I’ll unbless again the imac, now only the iphone and ipad. going back to the app, failed to validate error 3 times, all greyed out, and saying bless this device again. It took me 4 hours last night doing this on the ipad. It’s a bit frustrating.

Having the same issue.
Started up the Fantasy player friday evening for game night. I have previously downloaded some soundsets. I started up the first one, and it stopped playing after a couple of seconds.
I tried a couple of times to log in (it validated my login), but always gives me the error message a stated in this thread. I gave up after 5/6 tries, as my players arrived and our sessions started.
Sunday now: retried. Still getting the same error message

Btw: not a new user. Been a supersubscriber, since June 2015

We have actually found the bug that is affecting you guys… and are working on a fix. In the meantime I’ve bumped your accounts… and I think they maaaaay be working now? Let em know.

I’ve just deployed a change to the server that I hope should fix the “we failed to validate your authorized soundsets…” error. Can you please try again now?

I have reinstalled the app, logged in, re-blessed.
Downloaded some soundsets.

All playing now

Hi benjamin and sonofconan, thanks so much for your prompt response and effort, It’s working now!, I logged in on my account online, removed the old custom campaigns I did last night, created new as a test and added just one soundset, it’s working now, now validate error, I’m now attempting to add another soundset to the test campaign, hit reload on the iphone app player… it updated!!! massive thanks for all your effort, cheers! we’ll let you know if I encounter other issues, but for now I’m just relieved coz I can use it for tomorrow’s game night.

Especially THANK YOU for all the info. Continual updates make it easiest for us to find these bugs as they keep ducking round corners!
