Exporting custom moods between devices? - FIXED

Hello there. I set up a whole lot of custom moods for my campaign on my computer yesterday, mixing and matching from a lot of different soundset packs. Then I realized I should perhaps use my phone for managing the sound instead of the computer so i downloaded the app. But to my disappointment, even though the campaign showed up as expected; the custom moods that I set up previously on my computer sadly didn’t show. Does this mean I have to replicate the custom moods I have made across all my different available platforms/devices manually? Or am I missing something?

I’m afraid that custom moods are stored locally in your devices cache memory so they can not be synced across devices. Ideally custom moods are for you to be able to set up a few moods before your game or to save an on the fly mood during a game. For real customization and the ability to sync your creations you need to be using the Syrinscape SoundSet Creator. The Creator lets you build entirely new soundsets, or copy and edit existing ones and then to sync these across any of your devices.

If you take a look in the ProTips and FAQ sections it gives you more information about how to get the most out of Syrinscape and customisation.

Hope that makes sense?

Steve

That makes sense indeed. I’ve browsed the faq and the protip section but thanks for the heads up anyways. I was just hoping I didn’t have to redo it. But if I understand you correctly; if I use the sound editor it will at least only be once, right?

Yep once you’ve built it in the Syrinscape SoundSet Creator and uploaded it to the server you can then download it to any of your devices as often as you need
