Pretty much the title… If I clean up my unused custom soundsets, will the web player be quicker to respond?
Side question - Is there a way to delete more than one at a time, or do I have to manually do each one?

Short answer is no.
It doesn’t matter how many soundsets you have. It’s the size of the soundset playing. Too many element. Too many conflicting reverbs. If too many elements are playing back samples that are overlapping each other. Size of samples. Internet connection. These are the issues that we as content creators have found that make the player a little sluggish.
Just trim back on elements playing at the same time. Aim for 10 or less. It helps
