Were surround sound options ever rolled out for the Online Player?
I have a 7.1 system connected to a HTPC. I run D&D off a laptop at the table. Is it possible to connect these wirelessly while maintaining 7.1 surround?
I have a 5.1 system and use the downloaded Syrinscape apps. As far as I have been able to figure out, the lack of surround capabilities in the online player isn’t a limitation of Syrinscape, but of the browser. At some point, modern browsers stopped supporting multi-channel output. There used to be a workaround for Chrome but it doesn’t seem to work any more.
I’ve been hunting for years, but no fix yet. I’m hoping there’s a browser add-on or setting somewhere. Let me know if you figure it out.
