Howdy!
If I recall correctly, this particular issue was a problem with the version of the Unity engine the app was built with, so it impacted all apps the same and was not dependant on any particular piece of content being available. Are you able to use either of the other Offline Players? Sci-Fi Player, or Board Game Player? They should be available on the download page (you might need to select the correct tab above the Player icon).
It is possible there is an issue with some piece of content, but in that case I would expect it to impact everyone, I am not aware of any other reports, and I just tested launching the Fantasy Player and it seemed to work okay.
If you find the other Players work okay, we can try clearing your local data for the Fantasy Player, which for you I think would be:
- Make sure all instances of Syrinscape are closed.
- Inside the
Go
menu item in Finder, select Go to Folder...
.
- Paste in “~/Library/Application Support/Syrinscape”.
- Move the “Syrinscape Fantasy Player” folder outside of that folder.
- Try launching Syrinscape again.
This should try to redownload all the content fresh, so may take a little time to start up, but hopefully that gets you going again. Let me know if it does not!
