Fantasy Player - how installing content for OFFLINE use works now!

Hey Syrinscapers!

I didn’t use Syrinscape for quite a while now but opened it up again today. I have no active subscription but I own quite a few sound sets. What is going wrong on both installations (one on my PC, one on my tablet) is that ALL soundsets I own are displayed as if they were downloaded/installed. I mean they are not greyed out and they are live-streamed if I click on them.
When I go offline and try to play a soundset it complains that Syrinscape cannot download.

But I never receive an option to download a soundset. uninstalling/resinstalling doesn’t change that. Also clearing all soundset data doesn’t work.

Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

ooooooooh … I think I got it now. Installed soundsets now get a tick and I have to doubletap to install them but streaming is the default right?

All good – works … sorry. It just used to be different in the old days

Hiya, yes, glad you worked it out.

In the past you had to install anything you wanted to be able to play back at all.

We updated the app so that it automatically just streams the samples you need without having to do that any more.

BUT you still CAN trigger a normal download with that double tap = but you know all that already so I don’t need to tell you.

You can ALSO set “Auto Download” that auromatically install everything you navigate to (while stream straight away to get sound going) = then you don’t have to double tap = BUT you might end up with stuff installed you don’t want/need.

AND you can ALSO set “Download Everything” which just installs absolutely-flaming-everything = something I wouldn’t do cause that is LOTS of data = but lots of people asked for that.

Hopefully this is useful info for others, I might edit the subject line and pin this post.

Meanwhile… GAME ON! :dragon: :crossed_swords:
